Scooba
I wanted a roomba forever, but now the folks over at iRobot have come out with the Scooba – a floor washing robot! Since we have hardwood floors and a cat, this would probably be a better purchase.
Oooooo hands free cleaning goodness. And yes it’s safe for wood floors!

i hear that its good for everyday cleaning.. but you still have to get down and dirty w/ the floors yourself every now and then!! let me know if you like it!!

question- doesn’t it leave a wet mess before it cleans it up? or does it center one one small area and does all four steps before moving on? confuuuused….
okay just kidding- i looked at the design and see it does all four- hahah but i guess the question is- it doesn’t leave any streaks or drips behind?

not sure about the scooba, but everyone i know who’s had a roomba has had it break down on them within a year… =T
Have you seen the Hoover FloorMate? It’s awesome. All sizes. It vaccuum’s, scrub, rinse and squeegy (spelling?) all in one. Looks fantasitc. I’m thinking about getting it for my place. But I do agree that you have to get down to the nitty gritty every now and then with your floors. Especially when you live in the city. They get so dirty so fast.
