Today babydot74 blogged about how great the Egg & Muffin Toaster she got for her hubby for Christmas works. (I wrote about it on weddingbee awhile back.)

I love eggs. Eggs, eggs, eggs. You can boil them, fry them, poach them, scramble them, make egg salad, mayonnaise… it truly is the incredible edible egg.
Which is why I want this egg cooker:
It boils up to 7 eggs and poaches 4. I boil eggs all the time to eat as snacks, and poaching eggs is pretty difficult. But if I had this, I’d make eggs benedict all the time!

ahhh, it was on weddingbee! i was scouring ur blogs for it. hahahaha….
nice. i’d get it just for the ability to poach alone.

i just went through your entire site again(well almost your entire site!). you have so many helpful links here. i love it.
hi there! we’re going to be visiting ny in march… can you do a post of some must-see (and ofcourse, must EAT) highlights of new york city? always love your insights and ideas!
If you spray a little oil or no-stick spray into a bowl/ramekin and scramble an egg into it, you can microwave it for a minute or two and slip it onto a sandwhich. Or, you can pseudo-poach a whole egg this way with a few spoons of water over the top, but you have to puncture the yolk with a fork or the steam explodes it. I slip them onto toast or an english muffin and microwave a cheese single onto the top when I need a portable breakfast.
Put a little vinegar (of any kind) in the water before poaching your eggs. Makes the egg stay together in the water during the boiling/cooking process. They come out perfect, and the vinegar won’t effect the taste.
mmm egg salad…
