Wow, in my DREAMS.
I like the look of old, worn, hardbound books. I think they add a lot of character.
I definitely want a library so I can pass it down to my kids and their kids..etc.
nice. makes my ikea bookshelf seem rather…weak.
actually… one of our clients, in their library (i work for an interior design company) they had all the books coverd with brown kraft paper. except the red, black, and white/cream ones. it looks amazing.

Gorgeous~ except the one with the red railings is a little creepy looking. Personally I like having the variety of the original coverings.

I would hate to cover my books. My friend Barbara, who wrote a book called Pen On Fire and has a blog by that name, she puts out books with the covers matching her mood or the season. Lots of red and green at Christmas for example. Now, it’s all yellows and browns and oranges for fall. It’s great.
Oh my. That really is porn–my heart started beating faster just looking at them! I think I’m going to print the pictures, laminate them, and post them on one of my classroom’s bulletin boards.
I like the orderliness of the covers, but it’d make it so much harder to find the right book. I’d never do it. Plus, I have way too many books to cover. (I have my own library at home, with wall-to-wall bookshelves! Yippee! Now, if only I had five stories and an ornate, red spiral staircase…)
