It’s already been 3 months since Mr. Bee and I moved into our new apartment, but we really haven’t done that much with it yet. Every weekend I plan on buying, designing, organizing - Cleanfest 2006 I call it. But invariably we either end up working, or we’re so tired/burned out from working that we don’t have the energy to do anything with the apartment. In fact I’m working right now when I had planned on organizing my bookshelves.
I wish the guys from Queer Eye or Clean House could just come and make our place fabulous in a day.

Yeah, I was thinking of submitting our house for Queer Eye but.. Queer Eye is cancelled, I can’t believe it – I love that show.
We dedicated every minute of spare time to settling in that first week after moving in.. and then the enthusiasm sizzled out and our place wasn’t really improving. Until we decided to invite a batch of friends over for a housewarming party and set a date for just two weeks later! That sure got us motivated again! haha And guess what, our apartment was ready come that weekend.
So set a date for a party! It’ll put both of your minds to it. =o)

no it hasn’t!
i just moved two weeks ago, i just can’t wait to get it done and over with.
my goal is by labor day weekend, but i’m almost 80% done!!
yea i was super motivated the first month i moved in to decorate and organize…now im starting month 3 and ehhhhhh im too tired. haha. apartment therapy has that book, the cure, that i want to buy that supposedly helps motivate you and redecroate/organize…supposed to be good and i want to try it out. they have some worksheets available on thier website to help with that process too. you should check it out, see what you think…if i get to it first, i’ll let you know what i think of the book/worksheets. =)

i agree w/you completely!! I moved into my house in early June..yet I haven’t finished decorating it for the most part…
wow that smallest coolest apartment was so amazing! and efficient! I would have guessed it was as big as my apartment! jeeez. makes me want to go home and rearrange
